How does it hurt me you ask? oh oh oh... let me explain.

So I'm at the Commin & Q Tip concert @ nokia theater 2 weeks ago and I'm... well, I died and came back to life. That's how serious it was. Out of nowhere, Tiffi goes "oh look! there's go Kerry Washington!" and sure enough, in the VIP section I see Kerry. having the time of her life. practically falling off of the freakin balcony. vibing like no other. she was feelin it like me i could tell... she just looked better doing it. homegirl started crying at one point. you can ask tiffi, i swear. so in my head im like wow! i didn't know kerry loved hip hop like THAT! not saying that i'm completely shocked, i just never thought about it. so as time went on and i kept looing from common to kerry i started to get mad.

OBVIOUSLY we were both affected by common in the same way. but this woman, this well-known actress can do one small thing i can't. just one small thing. SHE CAN HANG OUT WITH COMMON AFTER THE SHOW! SHE CAN GET HIS NUMBER AND CALL HIM TONIGHT! SHE CAN MAKE BABIES FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!

so now i'm just plain ol mad. i'm just bitter at this point, because I KNOW SHE GON HANG OUT WITH HIM AFTER!

and sure enough... as we're leaving... kerry's asking security how to get backstage... ugh. so as i stand by the water fountain in the main hall catching my breath and my sanity after the show.... here comes lil ol kerry washington +1. we all just stared at her, i really do love her work, but sometimes i don't tell celebs that, i just let them do them, don't wanna draw too much attention to them. then i think ramoo said something to her and she was mad nice to us. so i was like yay! let's ask for a pic. here's how the convo went:

PEOPLE! Now they're saying that Britney lost her visitation rights to see the kiddies. WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN WHERE K FED BECOMES THE GOOD GUY AND BRITNEY THE BAD?! This AND global warming?! We're all gonna die and you can't tell me otherwise. DOES SHE HAVE FRIENDS?! She needs a good ass-whuppin, and I'm almost willing to find her, attempt it, and get arrested for it. Like I've been saying for months now, she needs to go away to some island where there is no service, barely any people, get her life back on track, some spiritual healing. Come back, do her little stint on Oprah where she cries and says she didn't like who she was and lost herself in Hollywood... AND THEN TRY AGAIN! Homegirl shouldn't be releases music right now, sure any publicity is good publicity, but I don't think that's the case this time around. Even if she did what I said (left and came back ready to try life again) and nobody really cared about her, at least she would be clean and a better person.

This Christmas...!

Oh yes, I am STILL excited about the This Christmas movie starring every "whatshisnameagainwhereiknowhimfrom" black actor/actress out there.

Here's a clip from the movie! It's like a minute and a half of Chris Brown singing. It's not much but the movie comes out November 21st and it's all we got besides the coming acttraction (which i have saved on my desktop and watch every now and again) to hold us over.

Sydney doesn't look forward to seeing it because there are too many familiar faces in it and while I've had that feeling before... but I'm actually looking forward to that now because, while everyone's familiar, they aren't TOO familiar, too famous. so it'll be fun.

Ughhhhhhhh, I can't wait til christmas! Or at least the holiday season!

Yo. i just finished watching "DejaVu" with Sydney and I must say... that movie was OD. i loved it! my mind is all over the place right now and no- i haven't finished writing my paper yet. BUT THAT'S OK BECAUSE I WILL!!!! it's 1:11am right now. the plan is to finish before 3. what you think? lol so i can sleep peacefully and studying for african american studies all day tomorrow...

Alot of people said that movie was wack, but i don't see why they would think that! it's one of those movies that deals with time traveling, so you CAN'T try to figure it out completely! Like lake house. omg. i love that movie. i've seen it a couple times, but if i get too into it and start thinkin too much, forgetaboutit.

anyways, if you haven't seen the movie, DO check it out if Denzel Washington and time traveling is your type of thanggg.

What better way to start up a new blog than to be procrastinating on a paper that's due on Tuesday? Cmon now...!

I suck at close reading... and that's exactly what my paper is on. A 3pg paper (I know, that's not that bad) about a 1-5 line passage from a story. The story is pretty good, Sonny's Blues, but the assignment... It ain't cute. No.

So! Last night I saw "Why Did I Get Married?" and I must say... that was a GREAT movie! I need to get up on my Tyler Perry movies. Shailyn know all about em... but I've only seen one of his plays on DVD and I must say... it was HILARIOUS. JILL SCOTT STOLE THE SHOW!!!!!!! She worked it. And Janet... wow! Someone needs to move slowly away from the mic... and focus on acting! It would be perfect at this point in her career. The music is going so well... so why not move onto another step? A la Ice Cube, Will Smith? She did her thing, I was actually surprised. Like really surprised. So yeah, go see that movie. :)

I'm thinkin maybe I should go back to my paper... It's for the better of man. Or not.
